Hay There

It was a busy afternoon. Brother John brought me a semi-load of hay–mostly wheat hay, but some alfalfa, too. He’s going to bring another load of all alfalfa in a week or two. Ollie and I unloaded it from the driveway, just like in this post. I didn’t finish putting it away until well after dark.

Here’s a fun pic of the wheat hay we are feeding. Each bale is more than 6 feet across and weighs 1700 lbs.  The sheep *love* it (and so do the horses).

That's an 8' diameter hay ring! Doesn't it look like Sue is all baled up?
