Our 3rd (and Final) MOY Nominee

March 12, 2010

I’ve been having camera trouble this week, and I can’t post an update with visual support! I was trying to get a better picture of our 3rd Mother of the Year Nominee: meet Paris.

Actually, meet Paris' oldest son, Lubbock. That's P in the background being an attentive mother.

Paris is the only first-time lamber who has been nominated. The best way to describe her is that she was “born to be a mom.” She has a very easygoing demeanor, always knows where her lambs are, and always makes sure to feed both at once. The little lamb in the background of the picture was very small at birth, and I was worried he would get lost in the shuffle of all the lambing activity. But Paris has looked after him very carefully, and while small, he is fat and thriving.

So–all the nominees are in! Feel free to voice your support of one or all three. We’ll announce our pick for Mother of the Year on Monday.

Well…they’re all clearly good candidates, but the ability to count to three is worth a lot from my perspective. Sue, I’m sorry, but Maya gets my vote! 🙂
