A Brief Update

January 29, 2010

They have shelter, do they use it? No, they let the goats sublet 🙂

We got about 1/2″ of ice, and it’s snowing beautifully. The sheep don’t mind the snow, and they are out munching on hay. The electronet fences are almost down under the weight of the ice, but the sheep don’t care. The prego girls only want to eat, lay down, and chew cud. Hay is a warming feed, so it’s perfect for this weather. We still have power, ergo, heat and water. We get to enjoy the snow instead of worrying about it.

Glad things are well on your end. Your right it is a rather nice change to enjoy rather than worrie. Linda and I are going to find a dry pond to sled into.

How much snow did you get, Denise? I think we ended up with 6″… beautiful! No wind, the cedars are looking like a winter postcard. Now we’re just keeping our fingers crossed for the sun to come back!
